Their love story came to a halt a little over eight years ago, 10 according to Candace, and when a job brought Rick back to Texas he knew he was coming for his lost love and that he would fight whoever to get through to her. The story is told from the POV of Savage and Candace, and I loved being able to see both of their emotions, even the ones both characters tried to hide.

I did, however, finish it rather quickly, but only because I was so captivated by Rick Savage and his second chance love Candace.

We have been waiting with baited breath for this trilogy and it does not disappoint! We’ve met Savage on many occasions during his time with Walker Security and we have always wondered what his story would be.
